Acacia Honey

Acacia Honey

Aulum, Denmark

How is it produced?

It is a mild natural Honey which is tapped by Jakobsen A/S it is then kept in warm water to avoid crystallization of the product.

Describe the supply chain to the store shelf in Canada:

The honey is both extracted and produced at the factory in Aulum. It is then transported by truck to grocery shops and restaurants in Denmark and the rest of the world

What is the power balance between the producer and seller?

This product is mainly seller-dominant as the product honey is not special and can easily be replaced by other honey products/producers. Although it needs to be said that this was only one of two Danish-produced honeys I could find at the grocery shops, so for those that care about locally produced products, there were not a lot of other options.

Can you recommend changes to the system to improve the balance?

The product stands out as much as possible in a highly competitive field. I don’t think the balance can be further improved
